A great day out at Toulston Polo ground for the finals of the Ogden of Harrogate Armada Dish Competition marking their 120th Anniversary

Champagne, Mad Dogs and Lions.
A champagne reception and lunch followed by three polo finals. The local Toulston team Leolene Lions were narrowly defeated in their match and the Mad Dogs Polo team won the Ogden of Harrogate Armada Dish. Ogdens had a boutique with watches and jewellery on display and the workshop team were there to clean rings. Here is some of the photography….

Toulston Polo Ground welcomed over 700 spectators for the finals of Ogden of Harrogate Armada Dish Competition.

Sunday 23rd June saw the finals of the Ogden of Harrogate Armada Dish and Silver Jubilee Cup competitions at Toulston Polo Ground. Over seven hundred people gathered in glorious sunshine to watch the fiercely fought finals, which saw Mad Dogs beat Dundee and Perth 5 1/2– 1, and the home team the Leolene Lions narrowly defeated by half a chukka by Summit, who won 5 ½ -5.
The tournament marked the centenary of the ground and 120th anniversary of sponsors Ogden of Harrogate. Associate sponsors luxury watch brand Ebel provided a stunning Onde watch for the prize draw which was won by Ian Bennett of Blubberhouses.
Said Ben Ogden of Ogden of Harrogate: “We have a longstanding association with the polo at Toulston, which is the biggest tournament of its kind in the north of England. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the sport.”
