Phil Packer served in Her Majesty’s Forces for 17 years and sustained spinal cord damage in February 2008 whilst serving on operational duty and subsequently told it was highly unlikely he’d walk again which means walking 2,012 miles throughout 2012 is an enormous challenge.

It provides high quality professional development for everyone involved in the teaching of science, in primary and secondary schools and FE colleges from across the UK.

...It was to update the marketing material and involved photographing the practical courses that were taking place.

I then travelled to the other Science Learning Centres across the country to give them their own images to have on file. From Durham in the North down to Southampton with a few other Centres in-between. It was great seeing some of the experiments and different Ideas used in teaching physics and chemistry along with the CLEAPSS health and safety courses for lab technicians.

Cant remember science being this much fun when I was at school!

We walked for miles and miles had a great time and got some great shots. New York was voted most unfriendly city in America last week but we couldn’t agree more as people were very friendly and helpful. (Apart from the security guide not letting me us a tripod on top of The Rock to get the night time shot of the Empire State Building!) We were blessed with a couple of days with blue sky followed by 5inches of snow falling in a few hours. I was in Times Square at 7am taking shots of the snow clearing and even saw a woman from Florida excited about making a snow man.

Too many shots to show but here are a few.....
